Just a Daisy in the Meadow

God is True!

We as people made in His image are instructed in the Old Testament,

“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.” Ex. 20:16

We are not to lie.

God is Light!

– “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all” I John1:5

“And this is the condemnation that light is come into the world,

and men loveth darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light,

neither cometh to the light lest his deeds be reproved.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light,

that his deeds may be manifest,

that they were wrought in God.” John 3:18-21

Our life IS an open book before God . . . Let us walk in the light!

God is Love!

. . .”For God so loved the world . . “

A new commandment I give unto you,

That ye love one another;

as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” John 13:34

God being love calls us to love . . .

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15

“He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings.” John 14:24a

What a test, huh?

“But I say unto you,

Love your enemies,

bless them which curse you,

Do good to them which despitefully use you,

and persecute you.” Matthew 5:44

How can a person go to war and kill when these are Jesus’ words? . . .unless he does not fear God.

God is Just!

“ . . . A just God and a Saviour; there is none else beside me.” Isaiah, 45:21b

“A false balance is an abomination to the Lord,

but a just weight is His delight.” Proverbs 11:1

“But the path of the just is as a shining light,

that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18

God is Holy!

“ . . . They rest not day and night saying,

‘Holy, holy,holy, Lord God Almighty,

Which was, and is and is to come.” Rev. 4:18

“. . . Yet now hath He reconciled, in the body of His flesh through death,

to present you holy

and unblamable

and unreprovable

in His sight.” Colossians 1:21B-22

God says this is our “reasonable service”

Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore brethren,

by the mercies of God

that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,

holy,

acceptable unto God,

which is your reasonable service.”

God is full of Glory!

“And behold the glory of the Lord appeared in a cloud.” Exodus 16:10b

“Glory and honour are in His presence;

strength and gladness are in His place.” I Chronicles 16:27

. . .yet He veils it. God dwells in our bodies. Our bodies “veil” the Holy Spirit. Does this principle of God insist that we “veil” our glory? What is our glory?

“It is the glory of the Lord to conceal a thing;

but the honor of kings is to search it out.” Proverbs 25:2
