Seeing God Face to Face!
One never knows the exact moment, the Lord will take us Home. For some of us this may be expected, but most of us this comes as a surprise, or shock. One must always be ready. In the twinkling of an eye . . . we may be called Home!
And so it happened for our friend, Lee Hess, age 23. He was a part of us here at Kitchi Pines and we will miss him!
He was traveling . . . on his way to Texas to pick up a new car. It was night time (Tuesday December 19) and raining. A car from the opposite lane lost control, started hydroplaning, and hit Lee head on, killing him instantly.
He leaves behind his Dad and Mom and two brothers and three sisters, the sisters of whom especially loved him fiercely. He was the oldest son.
I hear this news and I grieve . . . and then jealousy sets in . . . I wanna go Home too!
When will it be my turn?

You all have been through a lot in the past year. Thoughts and prayers are with the family and those of you who are his friends. I envy your jealousy about going to heaven. I always wonder if there is something wrong with me for enjoying this life so much. I can’t help being a little sad thinking that in heaven we won’t be a family like we are here. I know there are BETTER things, but it’s hard to remember that sometimes. Maybe we have it too nice.

We know their family well and they are in our prayers. This actually touches our family too, since my sister in law is Bill Hess’ sister.
