"Tell Me Why"
We are enjoying these Singing Science Songs! For several years now the Stauffer menfolk sing bits and pieces of some of these songs, the more familiar ones being “How Many Colors Are in a Rainbow” “How Does a Cow Make Milk” and “What Makes the Weather” Daddy always referred to them as the “Tell Me Why” records that they listened to as boys.
Japheth and his siblings grew up listening to some of them also . . . and so we must keep this thing agoing! Yesterday my dear husband downloaded all of them (They’re free) and brought them home! So now guess what we will be hearing day in and day out? I admit I like to listen to them more than the children do at this point, but they are a great help for homeschooling, explaining science information in such an understandable and rememberable way! Though we did hear one that we decided to delete from our collection that had some evolution mixed into it!
Just following the Golden Rule . . . in letting you know. I would have wanted you to tell me about them!
God’s blessings upon your day!

That is AWESOME!!! None of us Stauffer women know where that record got to. We used to pass it (and a number of other ones) around so our children could listen to it. Our children LOVED that record. I think we’re each afraid we are guilty of being the one who lost or pitched those records, although I can’t imagine why we would have done such a thing. (But you never know – when a woman gets in the mood for cleaning out, watch out!) I never even thought of looking up those songs on the internet. Destiny would love them. Which song has references to evolution?

The one called “The Face of the Earth” says that the earth is several billions of years old.

Thanks so much for posting this! We promptly downloaded them and began Anna’s science education immediately–just kidding about the science education part. She loved listening to the bird songs, though, and kept looking at the speakers trying to figure out where those bird noises were coming from (she loves it when I whistle). They are such great songs, and I’m planning to pass out CD’s to my friends at church who homeschool. Thanks again!
