Monday Mess
Isn’t it great to have Monday to try to catch up, rest up and start the new week? Hmmmm . . . wouldn’t that be nice if I could get ALL that done in a Monday . . .
This morning when I was tired this was not funny, It was disastrous! . . . now I can look at the mess and say hey this isn’t too bad we can get this taken care of . . . What a difference one’s energy level makes one feel!
Isn’t praising God, when one doesn’t feel like it “bringing the sacrifice of praise?” Are these praises more special to God than when everything is going well and we feel like praising him?
“By Him therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually , that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.” Hebrews13:15
” . . . bringing sacrifices of praise unto the house of the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:26c

Glad to know mine isn’t the only house to look messy on a Monday morning, when it seems your house should be in order from Saturday night, right? =] Not with small children around!
Blessings to you this week as you care for your family!

I don’t know if those kind of praises are more special, but they sure are effective…I’m just learning this. I don’t know if you’ve ever read Stormie Omartian books, but I highly reccomend, “The Prayer That Changes Everything: the Hidden Power of Praising God”. I just bought it and it’s so good!

I had to laugh when I looked at the picture. I don’t know why, but our house is always a wreck on Monday morning. i think bc we’re with people all day Sunday and everything is harem scarem and by the evening it’s too late and I’m too tired to pick up, or to make everyone pick up. I agree with the nap thing-life looks different with sufficient sleep!

Glad to know I’m not alone in the ‘Monday morning’ thing!!!
I kick back and relax on Sunday, so I guess that’s why my house looks like that! Yeah, energy sure has a lot to do with attitude and state of mind!

Yeah, Laura, I’d like to read that one . . . I have two of her others, The Power of a Praying Wife and the one of praying for your children. They are so good!
Sunday nights I’m too tired and I’m too tired too to supervise the children picking them up . . . You’d think by now we’d have them trained better than that! . . .
Doesn’t the book To Train Up a Child say these things happen in days and weeks . . . well I must be doing something wrong cause it’s taking us months and years! . . .
That book makes me frustrated, too many “easy steps” and one should have all her ducks in a row!
My friend, Hope, told me recently that she can carry a dead baby in her womb for four weeks, but somehow Mondays are TOUGH! . . . and her seven children’s ages are between 18 and four. At what age do your children have to be for Mondays to be better?
