"Have You Had a Gethsemane?"
Today I have this song, “Have You Had a Gethsemane?” (on Israel Homecoming by Bill and Gloria Gaither) on recycle, singing over and over. I can’t listen to it enough . . . it touches my heart right now like no other song and fits the season of remembering Christ’s suffering and agony and fits my mood too. (Wish I could play it here for you . . . There won’t be copyrights in heaven will there?

Thanks for commenting on my site. I always appreciate comments–it makes me know that somebody “gets it.” My parents took Carrie, Gabe, and me to a Gaither homecoming event last year, and that was a lot of fun. Gospel isn’t really my home genre, but I noticed that old timey Gospel music has mostly two themes–bein’ born again and forgiven, and goin’ to heaven to be with Jesus. Now if they’d just add what we’re to be about in between those two events (worship, holiness, and mission), it’d be a full meal. My point is that I like the Gaithers, and thanks again for commenting.
