Saturdays and Plants
Saturday, June 9th, 2007There are many things to be done on a Saturday . . . but at times (and today is one of them) I take the time to rest up for Sunday. Sunday is to be a day of rest I know . . . . Maybe someday it will be more of that, but being a mom with lots of little tots, Sunday’s are quite tiring and at times disappointing. (Having realistic expectations of the day helps keep those down
)
I did go pot some more perennials though, that is restful if the toddlers are otherwise occupied . . . If not it can be stressful . . . I’m hoping to sell some plants at the garage sale that some of my friends are putting on. A plant sale is a lot more down my ally than a bake sale!
It’s one of the best things watching your plants multiply over the years . . . little babies or starts coming forth of there own accord . . . Many of my plants are starts I’ve gotten from friends a few years ago, a few I’ve bought . . .
A dear friend gave me a gift certificate at our local greenhouse for my 30th birthday this year. Yesterday I went and picked out a Honeyrose Honeysuckle bush . . .
Plants bring me much joy . . . and Sundays too if I “in everything give thanks . . . for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning me” at this time and season of my life.
One boy is at Grandma’s for his special “Grandma and Auntie time” this morning and one boy is with Papa for most of the day, one boy is sleeping and one boy and one girl are outside and need some supervison or otherwise I’d”hit the sack” myself . . .
Signing off . . .
