Unexpected Blessings

I’ve had some nice help today . . . my five year old was begging me to let him change his little brothers “stinky” . . . so I let him. He declared that he liked to do this and furthermore asked if he could do all of them from now on . . . . hmmmmm . . . and then older brother not to be outdone volunteered to do the wet ones . . . anyway all this afternoon and evening I did not have to change any diapers . . . This is really nice!!!

You know when we least expect it; God shows us how His “unexpected presence” can be manifested unto us. Even thru the little hands of our little ones. I tell many I come in contact with at the nursing homes to ” Always expect the unexpected” when it comes to God showing us HIS LOVE. Our lives become so easily distracted; But, God gives us just a sample of His wondrous love when we need it most. What a great testimony even a child, can show of loving compassion for another. If we could look beyond the “stinkies of life” an focus on the purpose at hand…praise God for His presence even in the small hands of a little child! I call to remembrance….(an a child shall lead the way) ! Blessings to all this day….Cheryl

I too, am impressed! Hmmm… I wonder if Charlotte would like to do that? I never even thought that would be something she could do… hmmmm… :-) Isn’t it a glimpse of God when little children help? I love it!

wow, could you send him to my house? :) that’s great. I can’t get my children interested in that. I do hope your last months of pregnacy go quickly!

Tell us, is he still changing diapers? Somehow, that’s one job I don’t mind half as much as I thought I would. Maybe it sounds weird, but I think about service often when I change diapers and the fact that someday I may be old and my children may have to change my diaper. I hope that they will do it as cheerfully as I do. :-)

  9. Aimee Says:

Yep, still doing it . . . though the enthusiasm has waned a bit :)
