This post reminds me of the time in 1982 when I was planning to fly to Chicago to be with my parents for a few days. (My mother was at the cancer hospital in Zion, IL.) A day before I was scheduled to leave I got notice from the school nurse that Lisa had head lice. They were having quite an epidemic. She was not allowed back in school until she had been treated and cleared by the school nurse. I managed to get my flight delayed by two days, but in the meantime, in addition to treating Lisa's hair, I tried to "de-bug" our house by doing all the bedding, the coats, the caps. Fred and Deb (who had no children yet) were to be coming to live at our house with Dick and the children while I was gone, and my house was HORRIBLE!! The previous three months my mom had been in the hospital in Lancaster and my whole life had turned upside down. SO, two days later, after the debugging and the lice treatment were finished, and Lisa was allowed back in school, I stayed up ALL NIGHT to try to put my house in order before we left at 5:30 AM for the airport. I was a very miserable traveler that day, but I got through it.
Somehow God gives us the strength and endurance for those extraordinary times.

Will you be visiting PA when you make the trip to VA?

Fear, Fret, Flee, Flounder! That's the usual human response when we look into the situations of our future tomorrows. We have the human outlook of "What If". But spiritually if we look beyond the present horizon; and see the actual spiritual impact we are having on the children who are casually watching . We would give more praise that God has chosen us to be the Christian role model to help in fashioning the future, and how our offspring will learn by our experience of how we choose to handle all of every day lifes occurances. Our children learn by trial an error as humans. And yet we as their Christian parents show them through our faith and trust that there is a far spiritually better way of becoming an overcomer. When the going gets tough...will we attend to life as a happy , praise worthy creature in the presence of our heavenly Father! Our joys will show our children how best to handle even the daily chores. From the simplest to the harshest...like Job we can overcome with a song in our heart. " Victory In Jesus" ! Aimee you have already overcome much...hold on and hang in there. The best is yet to happen for you!!!!! I'm still praying for all!!! Cheryl in N.C.
