In This Far Away Land

Yep, we have some relatives that actually made it to our “far way country” . . . not many do, you see, . . . so this is something extra special to rejoice in!!

For some pics, you’ll have to view Aunt Doris Jean’s blog. ( I’ll probably post some later, but not as many I assure you. She is a camerawoman for sure!!! )

I vote Aunt Doris Jean one of the BEST teacher\entertainer for children . . . she had the oldest five, while I took Lynne and went to get groceries, my drivers license renewed, visit my doctor, etc. . . . This time I didn’t have a deadline to be home (It’s nice not to have to worry about the clock sooooo much, but I did make it back by 1:15 . . . She still played games with the children while I unloaded things, fixed myself some lunch and put little ones to bed for naps) Oh, what a gift!!! They all love her to pieces!

I went to her site. Loved the pictures! Wow, what a breath of fresh air! To have someone excited about babysitting and you not to have to hurry to get back, sounds relaxing! :) Last time my mom took care of the girls, she thanked me a few times for the chance to babysit them (it was for a few days and we live over 3 hrs away from them). I told her it’s always nice when the babysitter thanks ME! :)

I’m so glad for you that your visitors are there and can give you a lift. But I’m glad for me too, because I am so enjoying all the pictures, especially of your precious children.

I know you don’t get lots of relatives’ visits. That’s how our Miki in Sweden feels too. We did make the trip to see your in laws a few times, back when we didn’t have any grown-up children of our own to go visit. Now it seems visiting them takes all of our traveling time.
