September Fishin’

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

I don’t have time to write much these days, but thought I’d still post these pics . . . It’s a Sturgeon . . .

It took him a half an hour to reel this one in . . . . if only fishing for men were as easy . . .

Kneel

Monday, September 22nd, 2008
These quotes stuck out to me today . . .
“A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.”
“He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.”

Seasons

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

I love’m . . . I love the changing seasons . . . and I’m always ready for the next one . . . Somehow the beginnings are the best in my book . . .

Happy Autumn to each one of you! (No, we haven’t had frost yet but it’s a coming)

. . . is the man whose strength is in You,

Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.

As they pass through the Vally of Baca (weeping),

They make it a spring . . .”

A Herd of Kittens

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

Don’t you love it when . . . you’re instructing your children and it feels like your trying to herd kittens!!! . . . Frustrating indeed!

Demolition . . .

Monday, September 1st, 2008

has begun . . . Today I was able to meet the owners (Japheth and before) and we helped them carry the rest of their belongings out.

They want the building gone so they can build a retirement home instead of having an outdated older seasonal cabin that can’t be lived in year round.  And we want some of the lumber . . .

So the work began with tearing out the paneling, taking out the cupboards etc. . . .

The children enjoyed helping . . .

Lynne hated when I put her in the play pen! :) . . . such is life . . .

We feel blessed . . . it’s fun working together as a family!

Camping

Monday, September 1st, 2008

After camping in a  tent in the heat of summer last year we were a bit hesitant to try it again . . . so this year we opted to borrow from our neighbors – we used their camper . . . much more comfortable and enjoyable, plus the weather was cooler . . .

Morning and evenings are my favorites . . .  warming up after the cool of the night, holdin’ that mug of hot chocolate so tight . . .

We took off . . .  not that it suited us the best, but rather that we wanted to go camping before the season was over and if we don’t do it now, it won’t get done . . . Just making time for us as a family . . . We won’t regret it . . .
