Just a Daisy in the Meadow

Bird Nests

1\4 cup butter

4 and 1\2 mini marshmallows

4 cup chow mien noodles

1\4 cup chocolate chips

1\4 cup peanut butter

candy eggs or jelly beans

In a large saucepan melt butter and marshmellows on medium heat until smooth.  Add peanut butter and chocolate chips.  Stir two min.  Remove from heat.  Stir in noodles, until coated.  Divide into 12 mounds on waxed paper on baking sheet.  Shape nest.  Fill with three or four eggs. Cool.  Store in airtight container.  Yield – 1 doz.

Most every spring we have to make these . . . This time we made them on Grandpa Stauffer’s birthday and stuck one in a little box I helped the children make . . .

Ah . . . God’s promises are“exceeding great and precious promises” (II Peter 1:4) . . . “His divine power HAS given us everything we need for life and godliness . . .  “I Peter 1:3 . . .and he is boundless

As I’ve struggled today to “strengthen my feeble arms and weak knees” and make “level paths” for my feet . . . I run to Him . . .(Ya know maybe He was talking to us hormonal ladies when he said make level paths . . .)

“Can you fathom the mysteries of God?

Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?

They are higher than the heavens -

What can you do?

They are deeper than the depths of the grave-

What can you know?

Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea . . .”   – Job 11:7-9

God is boundless . . .

I know I won’t feel this way the rest of my life, but ya don’t live in the past or future, you live in the present . . . and I feel so horribly unmotivated, right now and have been for awhile . . .

Just a short note today . . . my testimony can be summed up in this verse

“Because You are my help,

I sing in the shadow of Your wings . . .” – Psalm 63:7
